About Me

My Background
I received my Bachelors and Masters degrees from New York University. NYU’s intensive clinical program is considered one of the best in the United States. In New York, I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have an additional post-graduate certification in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from William Alanson White Institute.
The first 12 years of my career were in New York. Working in this diverse city, with myriad cross-cultural issues, helped me to understand human behavior with a culturally sensitive lens. I learned how to help people tackle some of the toughest challenges we face as individuals.
In 2013, I moved to Lausanne, Switzerland where I continued to practice therapy and expanded to work more intensely with couples. I use the Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my work. My education and degrees are recognized by the ‘Rectors Conference of the Swiss Universities’
On a more personal note, I grew up one of six children. My parents divorced before I was a teenager. I now have two children of my own and appreciate the transmission of generational stress on families. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a therapist with a special focus on supporting neurodivergent people and their partners.
I am an American and Greek citizen, so I’ve split my entire life between Europe and the United States. I am married to a Swiss native so I intimately understand the challenges couples may face when merging cultures and raising families of third-culture kids. Outside my professional career, I love to travel. I’ve used my skills as a therapist to volunteer in Kenya, Belize, India and the former Yugoslavia.
